Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are upgrade elements that can be put into armor, weapons or trinkets to offer an additional benefit. They typically have an increased cost and require that the item be at an appropriate level.
Items that have extremely high requirements usually don't have any benefit in upgrading. This is particularly applicable to items that don't roll with a lot of variation like Eth titans.
Glyphs
When you reach the 50th level the action-RPG of Blizzard shifts from its streamlined campaign to the endgame. This is the time when things begin to change, with players pushed into the Paragon Board leveling system, Nightmare Dungeons, and new grinds to ensure their character's build is as strong as possible.
Glyphs play a key role in this progression. Glyphs' stats and effect radius on the Paragon Board are boosted by increasing their upgrade level. There are a variety of ways to gain these upgrades, however most players will rely on the primary method of raiding Faction Crypts.

Glyphs allows you to add symbols to your text. You can select them from the menu to the left side of the screen. The panel initially displays glyphs in the font where your cursor is located, but you can view a different font or type style, and reduce the number of glyphs to a specific subset by selecting an option from the options below Entire Font (for instance Punctuation shows only punctuation symbols). You can view the CID/GID value as well as the Unicode value of a glyph by moving your pointer.
The Glyphs Panel will keep track of your most recent 35 glyphs, and display them under Recently Used in the first row (you have to expand the panel in order that you can see all 35). You can also remove a glyph from this list by pressing it with the right-click or Control-click, and then selecting Remove From Recent Glyphs.
Another feature of the Glyphs panel is that it permits you to create and edit the glyph set you want to use, which is useful when you have to type certain types of text often. This will save you from needing to manually insert each glyph whenever you require it.
A custom glyph may have the maximum of 30 glyphs. This includes both the base name and its suffix. The glyphs in the base name must be uppercase English letters (A-Z) as well as lowercase English letters (a-z), European digits (0-9), and underscore (_). The suffix can include ligatures, or contextual alternates. upgrade item are special versions that combine two or more letters into one glyph.
Reroll Tokens
Upgrades are the principal mechanic that offers bonuses to items, including extra stats. Upgrades come in types: rerolls or level up, as well as recycle. Each type offers a distinct set of extra bonuses on an item.
Reroll Tokens are used to alter the item's base stats and upgrade number. They can also be used to reroll substats for rings. This is helpful for players who want to upgrade their item but the "potential" power of the item is not what they're looking for. Or, if their substats of the item aren't what they want to be.
Rerolling an item is costing 1 token and will reset the upgrades, however it will keep the rarity, set, and level unaffected. When an item is upgraded, it increases its tier and with each tier, the main stat is increased by +3, and an additional stat that is random is boosted alongside it. The ability to level an item to its maximum level increases its rank by 1.
The Blueprint Desk allows players to purchase new appliances, ingredients, and Decorations for their restaurant. Blueprints appear in envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation phase. They can be opened with Grab. Each blueprint is branded with a distinct icon, with each type of upgradeable items displaying different icons:
Selecting a franchise card from the Blueprint Desk will allow you to purchase certain appliances or ingredients needed for certain recipes. Some Appliances and Inputs are staples, meaning that they will not be available in the Shop or on rerolls, while others have a higher likelihood of appearing if a specific franchise card is chosen at the Blueprint Desk. This is called the Staple Pool, and the items in it will remain in that pool for the remainder of the run. In the same way, non-staple equipment is transferred to the Seed Pool when it is purchased from the Blueprint Desk.
Recycled Items
The third "R," recycle, is where the magic truly happens. You can benefit the environment by recycling a product that is made of recycled material. This is because the majority of items that are recycled go back to the manufacturer of the original to be remanufactured into a new product. This is referred to as "closing of the recycling loop."
When someone puts something in their curbside recycling bin it is taken to a Materials Recovery Facility where it is separated and sorted. Then, it can be offered to manufacturers who can re-make the product. Remade products include:
This reduces the need to harvest, grow or extract raw materials in order to make something other than. This in turn reduces the amount of damage caused to the natural environment as fewer trees are trimmed down, rivers diverted and wild animals are relocated. It also reduces the amount of pollution that is caused by the dumped raw materials into our soil, water and air.
As an added bonus Recycling products keep local businesses and jobs alive, especially those who specialize in manufacturing products using recycled materials. This is because the demand for these products can encourage companies to participate in this eco-friendly effort.
The final reason to buy recycled products is that it requires less energy to create new products from recycled material than to create them from raw materials. This is due to the manufacturing process of making a new aluminum can takes 95 percent more energy than production of the same aluminum can made from recycled material. Every little part counts.
Leveling
The majority of units can level-up, giving them extra XP each time they fight or are attacked. This XP can be used to boost their primary stats or unlock other upgrades on the unit's development tree. Weapons are an excellent example of this, as they level up and increase their damage and range.
Most leveling systems have an arbitrary number of levels that must be achieved, but this can differ from game to game. Spending coins or materials is the only way to level up. The majority of systems utilize both, but some only make use of one.
In many games, leveling is problematic because it makes certain units too powerful and other units are unable compete. Limiting the amount of leveling that an individual player is allowed to perform will force them into deciding what they would like to upgrade and why.
